Our Story

A family tradition

Growing up in a farming family, working hayfields with his grandfather and tending to cattle, the world of agriculture was in Blake Narramore’s blood. So much so, that he even went to college for, and obtained a degree in, Agricultural Engineering. However, on the opposite end of that was his now wife, PJ Narramore, who had never even met a farmer and only ever ate store-bought veggies and eggs while growing up. π‘Šπ‘’π‘™π‘™, 𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑙 π‘ β„Žπ‘’ π‘šπ‘’π‘‘ π΅π‘™π‘Žπ‘˜π‘’ π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ β„Žπ‘–π‘  π‘“π‘Žπ‘šπ‘–π‘™π‘¦, π‘‘β„Žπ‘Žπ‘‘ 𝑖𝑠!

Before they were married, Blake and PJ would spend quality time together in those same hayfields that Blake grew up in, which quickly led to the development of PJ’s own love of the farming world. On one special, fall day out in those fields, PJ mentioned to Blake how much fun it would be to open and run a pumpkin patch/corn maze. *π‘Ίπ’‘π’π’Šπ’π’†π’“ 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒕:  𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 π’‡π’Šπ’†π’π’…π’” π’•π’‰π’†π’š π’˜π’†π’“π’† π’”π’•π’‚π’π’…π’Šπ’π’ˆ π’Šπ’ π’˜π’†π’“π’† 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 π’ƒπ’š π‘©π’π’‚π’Œπ’† 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝑱 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒓𝒆 π’π’π’˜ π‘΅π’‚π’“π’“π’‚π’Žπ’π’“π’† π‘π’‚π’“π’Žπ’”!*

Fast forward a few years to 2013 β€” Blake and PJ were now married with a little family of their own. In an attempt to put some money into their β€œVacation Fund”, they started selling Sweet Corn from the farm (which was successful to say the least). Year after year, they kept adding to the farm. In 2015, they started with one acre of pumpkins. In 2016, they added a corn maze and a few small attractions. Today, Narramore Farms successfully operates a five-acre corn maze, they grow ten acres of pumpkins, goats, chickens and they have over twenty family and kid-friendly activities on the farm.

The success of Narramore Farms was a dream of theirs for a long time, but it’s not come without a lot of stress, passion, sweat, tears, and down-right hard work. With PJ playing the roles of dreamer and marketer, and Blake as the one who turns those dreams into a reality with his agricultural talent, they’re the ultimate dynamic duo.

And when looking for a way to sum up their overarching dream for the farm, they put it like this β€” “π‘·π’π’‚π’π’•π’Šπ’π’ˆ π’”π’Žπ’Šπ’π’†π’”, π’ˆπ’“π’π’˜π’Šπ’π’ˆ π’π’‚π’–π’ˆπ’‰π’•π’†π’“ 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π’‰π’‚π’“π’—π’†π’”π’•π’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆.”

Their favorite part of the farm is seeing families join together to make memories, whether it’s for the first time or for the sixth or seventh year in a row!

Blake and PJ now have their own “herd” consisting of four children that are their reasons “why” and they take pride in raising them on the farm, teaching them how to love their community, farm the land and grow their Agritourism business as a family!

The family motto is to work hard, so you can play hard and ALWAYS love harder!

Y’all, gather up the family and come see us on the farm!
